[Frises en manière de bas-reliefs] [graphic]. [16--]

The design for the friezes intended to be painted, in trompe-l'œil or not, or to be sculpted, features an array of ornamental motifs. Lush garlands intermingle with mythological and fabulous creatures engaged in lustful or warlike pursuits. A medallion with the bust of a man wearing a casque, a vase within a medallion and a military trophy serve as central motifs to three of the prints.
